BandUp is the digital assistant and stage companion for amateur and semi-pro music bands. It brings everything from song ideas and group voting to repertoire, setlists and a group-synced Stage Mode into one flow, so members focus only on music instead of organization.

Go to app.bandup.io, click Sign Up and create your account with your email address. Once your account is ready, set up your band, build your first setlist, and that is it.

We are currently in beta. During the beta, all individuals and bands can use BandUp for free. Everything is open, including setlists, calendar, tech rider and stage mode. If anything changes, you will be the first to know. Do not miss the beta.

Yes. On your phone, open bandup.app in Safari or Chrome and save it with "Add to Home Screen". Once you go on stage, your setlist and song details stay available even without an internet connection.

You invite them by email from your band. They click the link, create or sign in to their own account, and immediately see the band's repertoire, setlists and notes. There are no complicated steps to forward.

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), stored on secure infrastructure and backed up regularly. You stay in full control of your account and can delete it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Drag songs from your repertoire pool into a list, reorder them, and add a Break (with minutes) or a Finale where you need them. Total duration and song count are calculated live as you build.

Yes. Setlists sync live across the band. When someone creates, renames, reorders or removes an item, every member sees it without refreshing the page.

Board view lets you plan several setlists side by side on desktop and drag songs between them. List view is a single focused list. Your choice is remembered, and on mobile widths it is always List.

Yes. A Show can have one setlist, and a Rehearsal can have an optional setlist and a list of songs to work on. You can navigate both ways between the setlist and its linked events.

Open the setlist and tap Stage to enter full-screen Stage Mode. From there the band reads lyrics and chords, follows the order, and any change syncs live to everyone.

Stage Mode is a full-screen, dark performance screen for live use. It shows your setlist order, large-type lyrics and chords, personal notes and your setup list, with no menus to get in the way.

Yes. Unlike single-device tools, setlist changes, live transpose and the leader's position reflect on every member's screen instantly while you play.

A member picks another member as leader from the Settings drawer. Their screen then mirrors what the leader is looking at (list, song or preview). Your personal settings are unaffected, and browsing manually pauses following until you tap Return to leader.

From the key chip in a song you can shift all chords to a target key instantly. It is temporary and reflects to everyone live, then returns to the original key at the end of the session. It is never saved to the song.

Yes. On the stage, you can add rows, songs, interludes, or finales; you can remove or undo a row by dragging it. Changes are automatically saved using the same engine as the editor.

Yes. A visual metronome opens from the Settings drawer in the song view. It flashes on the song's BPM with a beat count, which is useful for drummers. Songs without a BPM cannot use it.

On the Songs page, click the "Add song" button and enter the song's lyrics, details and, if you like, notes. Pressing "Add to repertoire" adds the song to your repertoire.

In the Lyrics and chords tab you write or paste lyrics, select a word and place a chord above it, then change or remove chords. Transposing the song shifts all chords and the key together.

Personal transpose lets a member, for example a Bb trumpet player, shift chords only on their own screen. The song's key and the saved chords do not change for the rest of the band. The preference stays on your account and applies to all songs as an interval.

Each member votes “like” or “dislike” on songs in the ‘Idea’ status. Once everyone has voted, if the majority votes “like,” the song is added to the repertoire with a single click; if the majority votes “dislike,” it is archived. Voting takes place only while a song is in the “Idea” status.

The Notes tab has two sides. My notes are visible only to you and include a free note plus a key/value setup list, for example amp or pedal settings. Band notes are visible to everyone and include a shared note plus references such as links and uploaded files like sheet music.

Yes. You can undo your last change with Ctrl+Z. You can also archive a song and bring it back later, and edits autosave on blur so you do not lose work.

The Tech Rider is your band's single shareable technical stage document, one per band. On first creation it comes pre-filled from your band data: line-up and instruments, a drag-and-drop stage plot, an automatic input list, a song list from your repertoire, and Owner contact.

Turn on Share to open a public link that needs no login and reads well on mobile. While shared, your edits reflect to the venue instantly, so the single link is always current. You can also download or print a black-and-white PDF. Only Owner and Admin can share or stop sharing.

Yes. Because it is generated from your line-up and instrument data, it updates when the line-up changes, so the link you shared with the venue stays accurate without manual rework.

Yes. Reset returns the rider to its original pre-filled state generated from your band data.

The calendar shows your band's events in Month, Week and Agenda views. Events are color coded by type (Show, Rehearsal, Other), and members' personal availability appears as separate layers you can toggle on or off with a filter.

You pick several candidate days from the calendar, optionally with time slots, and open a poll. Members vote per slot with three states (Available, Not sure, Not available). The most Available slot is highlighted, and confirming it turns the winning slot into a calendar event.

Yes. You add personal availability blocks for a single day, a date range or specific hours, and choose per block whether to show details to the band or only mark yourself as Busy. Only you edit your blocks; other members can see them.

Yes. Events can repeat, and when you edit or delete a recurring entry you choose the scope: only this one, all of them, or this and the following ones.

Yes. You get notifications for new events, changes, cancellations, new polls and confirmations, based on your preference matrix. The default reminder is one day before an event, and you can change it in your preferences.
