Account Deletion

You can delete your BandUp account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Below you'll find how to do it from within the app, and how to request deletion if you no longer have access to the app.
Delete your account yourself
If you can still access your account, this is the fastest way:
- Sign in to the BandUp mobile app or on the web (bandup.io)
- Go to Settings → Security
- Tap “Delete Account” and confirm
Can't access the app?
If you've removed the app from your device or can't sign in, send an email with the subject “Delete my account” from the email address registered to your account to the address below. Once we verify your identity, we'll delete the account on your behalf.

- Your profile and account details (name, email, profile photo)
- Your sessions and authentication data
- Your workspace (band) memberships
- Content associated with your personal data
What is retained and why
- Records we are legally or financially required to keep (e.g. invoice and payment records) are retained for the period required by applicable law
- Some technical logs kept for security and abuse-prevention may be retained in an anonymized form that cannot be linked back to you
What happens to an active subscription?
If your subscription was purchased on the web through BandUp, deleting your account automatically cancels it — no separate step is needed. If it was purchased in the app through the App Store or Google Play, we can't cancel it on your behalf, since Apple and Google don't allow that; you'll need to cancel it yourself from the store's subscription settings (App Store: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, Google Play: Play Store → Subscriptions) before or after deleting your account.
Changed your mind?
For a short period right after deletion, you can reactivate your account by signing in again with the same credentials. After that window, the removal becomes permanent.
How long it takes
A deletion made from within the app takes effect immediately and your account is deactivated. Requests sent by email are processed within 30 days at the latest.
